RCHRS publishes the fourth annual report on Academic Freedoms in the Palestinian Territories

The Ramallah Center for Human Rights studies (RCHRS) published the fourth annual report on Academic Freedoms in the Palestinian Authority Territories that covers the year 2009. 

This publication reflects the RCHRS' general policy of defending academic freedoms and of monitoring all violations of educational rights in the Palestinian  territories. This report deals exclusively with the state of academic freedom in Palestinian universities.

The editorial board of the Tasamuh Periodical published by the Ramallah Center for Human Rights Studies is delighted to invite researchers and writers to contribute to the Tasamuh journal. Participants are asked to submit research papers, articles and essays that deal with the issues of human rights, the media, civil society, education, development, the judiciary, religion and society in Palestine and the Arab world.

The “other” in Arab Press

A new Publication by Ramallah Center for Human Rights Studies (RCHRS)

The Ramallah Center for Human Rights Studies (RCHRS) and the Arab Network for Tolerance published a study entitled "The Other in Arab Press" in January 2010. This study examines how the Arab Press deals with the concept of the "other". Specifically one who opposes the journals' religious, political, ideology approaches as well as their perspectives. This publication studies the press in six Arab countries: Yemen, Algeria, Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan and Palestine. RCHRS found it important to publish this journal highlighting these countries recent positive experiences and diversity in their press. .

Democratic Dialogue in Palestine: Acculturation towards Tolerance Project

In cooperation with the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF), in January 2010 RCHRS implemented the project "Democratic Dialogue in Palestine: Acculturation towards Tolerance". This project promotes the values of democracy, tolerance and human rights. It targets a group of Palestinian youth, who have cultural, ideological, political, social or regional backgrounds in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
