Several academics, students and members of the public attended this workshop in Gaza.  The goal was to discuss ways to promote a culture of tolerance on university campuses and prevent nepotism in the appointment of administrative and student councils.   Also stressed was the need to give students a space to freely explore their talents and interests.  Also raised was the concern that universities policies are largely detached from the actual needs of students and institutions are providing few resources to help graduating scholars enter the workforce thereby contributing to the rising unemployment rate.
