| Workshop on the Future of Student Councils in Gaza Universities |

On August 10, 2010, Ramallah Center for Human Rights Studies (RCHRS) conducted a workshop entitled "The Future of Student Councils in Gaza Universities". The workshop, held at RCHRS' hall in Gaza City, consisted of students, academics, and other interested participants.
Talal Abu Rukba, RCHRS coordinator in Gaza, opened discussion by stressing the necessity of democratic practice in Palestinian universities. This focus, he highlighted, has direct influence on constructing student personality and directing students toward practicing the values and culture of tolerance and democracy.
