On the 4th of June 2011, Ramallah Center for Human Rights Studies (RCHRS) held a round table discussion entitled "PLO Parties' Stands on the Issue of Religion".

The discussion was attended by representatives from the political parties in the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) as well as a group of other interested people.
The discussion revolved around how the Palestinian political movements, that declare themselves secular in their agendas, consider and deal with the term of religion. It was emphasized by the participants that the recent international and local developments have pushed these secular movements to approach a policy in dealing with religion that differs significantly from their written down policies.
