Tolerance in Arab Thought: New Issuance |

Ramallah Center for Human Rights Studies (RCHRS) issued a new study entitled: "Tolerance in Arab Thought", written by the researcher and writer Mr. Ali Khalil Hamad.
This study comprises of 185 pages that shed light on the values of the concept of Tolerance and the respect of the diverse other in the Arab thought of Arab writers, most of whom lived in the 20th century, these writers are: Edward Said, Mahmoud Darwish, Khalil Sakakini, May Ziadeh, Mikhail Naima, Maroon Aboud, Ameen Rayhani, Jubran Khalil Jubran, Ahmad Amin, Ahmad Shawki, Mohammed Abed Al-jabery, Ekhwan Safa. This study aims at confirming that the modern struggle for a decent life and respecting the other, human rights, individual and collective freedoms in the Arab World aren't rootless. Dozens of intellectuals were ahead of contemporary intellectuals in writing about these values and disseminating them by making them an original element of their Intellectual life in the Arab region.
